Land Grant GW Barnard (0-1-5)

Land Grant 21-115-4484 dated the 11th of January 1847 was granted to George William Barnard . The total land area was one rood and five perches. This covered the land between what is now 54, 56, 58 and and 60-62 High Street. 58 and 60-62 are currently on the one title.

George Barnard had many land grants in Launceston, but this was the only one in southern Tasmania. The TE Allwright grant next door (0-0-20.8) is the land currently occupied by the Drill Hall Emporium antique shop.
