There is no entry in the Land Titles system for an H Edwards in New Norfolk. The building does not quite match the structure of the known building at this location at this time period. The surrounding buildings do not match. Update - I believe this business was located where the shoe mart is now. The building is similar to A De Jersey's store before they built the more substantial 2 storey store. | |||

This section is for shops and buildings previously published as being located in New Norfolk, that we have been unable to verify. We will state our reasons for doubt and if you can help us out, we would love to hear from you.
- Scarr's Happy Home Store
This is a substantial store, and buildings this size would normally be built on land owned by the proprietor. There are no entries in the Land Titles system under the name Scarr for New Norfolk.
There are several references to a Scarr's Happy Home Store located in Elizabeth Street (Hobart) on Trove.

This doesn't appear to be the site of the current New Norfolk Newsagency - there is a substantial house where Hackett Street should be.

- Andrewartha Store
I cannot find any comparable streetscape to match in New Norfolk. No record in Land Titles system of Andrewartha owning real estate in New Norfolk. I did find a CH Andrewartha who managed the family furniture store in Richmond Victoria in 1930 - is that a "CH" I can see on the awning? A clearer photo will help.
